He can Soul-read, and is able to shift freely through being able to see in a normal manner and being able to see through a type of heat-vision. The Animal he's based upon, the Ryukalu Deva, is a type of reptillian bird that's a cross between a raptor-like dragon and a vulture like bird. They are found in the eastern hemisphere of the Fire Plains where phoenixes and other tropical coloured avians exist in abundance. Ryukalus are predators that hide among these avians, perched within the trees with only their colourful tail feathers visible to passing prey. They lure their prey in by appearing to be harmless, colourful birds. By the time their prey realizes their mistakes it's too late; the Ryukalus would have already dropped from the tree and ended the hunt.
They're meant to be deceptive hunters, the type of predator that lets their prey come to them instead of actively seeking them out. Because of this their wings aren't capable of more than gliding -- this Raveen has inherited their wingtype, a thin wing but with a wide wingspan that allows for one to glide downward from high distances in a short amount of time. Because the wings don't cover the full of his back they aren't capable of full flight, so he'd have to leap off a high cliffside/treetop in order to actually fly.
The feathers on the end of his tail/back of his neck do glow slightly, and are very soft to the touch. He's got small horns on his head that have been turned to silver via the use of Kanox Essence. His fur has splotches of blue hues that cover slightly more thick skin than his black fur, back it's not like dragonscale and can be damaged (As can be seen by his scars).
He carries with him, at all times, two claw-type weapons that are attached to his forepaws. These blades act like raptor claws in that they can be flipped up when not in use, and then flipped forward at a curving angle when in battle -- making for the blades to have a deadly edge to them. The blades are always sharp, and able to cut through anything as long as the right amount of force is put behind them.
He can teleport at will, but only to areas within his sight. As he's based on a Ryukalus he can hide beneath the illusionary guise of being nothing more than a harmless bird lurking in the treetops/shadows, with only the colourful feathers of his body visible to onlookers. There's a slight fluctuation in his Aura when he's using this power that makes it so those who do look his way will think nothing of it; an almost Telepathic Alteration that makes them "overlook" his presence or take no active "interest" in seeing what it is unless he wants them to. It's a power that basically allows for him to blend in with his chosen lurking areas.
Another power he has is the power to cause his tail feathers to glow with a radiating pulse; which grants the feathers the power to cause damage as if the tail-feathers were solid and deadly blades.
He's been in a few battles through the years, and has the scars to prove it. Some of his scars are from prey animals that attempted to fight back, others from other Raveens he's had a few "disagreements" with. |
