He has inherited his Father's Elemental Mutation, in the form of the wings on his back which are made of psionic energies. The wings themselves may seem solid enough, as they provide him with flight just fine, but when another touches them they phase right throuh them. His wings can cause confusion/disorientation to those who come into contact them, and while he can control it, if he's unaware of someone about to touch his wings he can't stop that individual from becoming momentarily confused.

A mind-connection is always present between a Shi-Naru and it's bonded. Shi-Naru bind their souls to their chosen bond, so if a Shi-Naru or it's bonded were to die it would leave the other feeling as if it were living a half-life. If the bonded Raveen were to die, however, a Shi-Naru has the power to watch over it's soul and keep it safe until healing can be done to it's bonded's body. Shi-Naru are immune to abilities, and powers only do minimal damage to them. Shi-Naru do not breathe, but they do eat - only fish and other water-based creatures. They live long lives, which are only shortened should something awful befall them or their bondeds.
